Why Uimport did not return a message of &quot;incomplete user information&quot; or &quot;must have login name and last name to process&quot; is another question. Then again, this isn't the first time that Uimport has given such a bogus error message that I had to spend hours trying to figure it out.<br />

Why Uimport did not return a message of "incomplete user information" or "must have login name and last name to process" is another question. Then again, this isn't the first time that Uimport has given such a bogus error message that I had to spend hours trying to figure it out.

I've triple checked the data and control files and all are fine. The OU exists, the O exists, the default server, volume and home directory path exist, I have full rights over the OU and supervisor rights over the server. I've checked Novell's knowledge base and can't find anything describing this error. Also, I tried shortening the object names, removing the underscore, etc. I can manually create the exact same object without a problem.<br />

 Error code: FD77. (.Physics_Lab2.Physics.CWRU).

Uimport Error NWDSAddObject

NetWare is a computer network operating system developed by Novell, Inc. It initially used cooperative multitasking to run various services on a personal computer, using the Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) network protocol. It is hardware-independent, running on any suitable Intel-based PC compatible system, and a wide range of network cards. Products inclue NetWare Directory Services (NDS), a global directory service similar to Microsoft's Active Directory; GroupWise, an email system; ZENworks, an application configuration suite; and BorderManager, a security product. Open Enterprise Server, the current iteration, runs on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server.
