Live Query Result set in Delphi1.6

I'm submitting a standard query with 'like' operator in the where clause.  I'm setting Request live to True, but the program is not sending a Live Result set back.

the select statement is

select area10."FILENAME", area10."SPC_NO" from area10 where area10."SPC_NO" LIKE '%232%'

where area10 is the table name and 232 is to be found in one record of the SPC_NO field.

If I substitute "where area10."SPC_NO" = '12321' this returns a live result set, but with the like operator it does not.  The Delphi documentation state like operators should return live sets, is the documentation incorrect or am I doing something wrong.

Cheers

In my code, Like operator returns a live sets.

Your Code :

  select area10."FILENAME", area10."SPC_NO" from area10 where area10."SPC_NO" LIKE '%232%'

Change your code like this
 select area."FILENAME" ,area."SPC_NO" from "area10.db" area
 where areae."SPC_NO" LIKE '%232%'

and , if you want change some field you want, insert Query's Edit method , of course you had done.
