WHats the name of the a: drive in Linux and how to I access it?

Hy,

the first physicall floppy is named /dev/fd0
the 2, /dev/fd1

to access...
mount /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy for minix file systems
mount -t msdos /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy for dos file systems

if you have the mtools installed & configured
just use the old "a:" style plus some new commands like :

mdir a:                  to have the directory
mcopy a:* /tmp            to copy everything on a: to /tmp
mformat a:            to format the floppy.
