Options for CHOICE boxes

How can get rid of the down triangle in a Choice list and how can I expand the drop down list beyond 8 visible items?

If the number of choices is equal to the number of choices visible on the screen, the triangle is gone.

To expand the dropdown list, you must type SIZE="number" in your <SELECT> tag in the HTML-code.

Thank you, this is good information.  hOwever I was not clear
enough when I posted it in this forum.  I need to do this in JAVA.  The original question was in comp.lang.java.gui and I did not have to clarify where I was working.  Your answer will be helpful in other projects.
