ODBC Components -- How do I Re-install??

When starting VC++ 4.0 I get a warning panel from the ODBC Drive Manager which says:

The ODBC resource DLL (C:\WINNT\System32\odbcint.dll) is
a different version then the ODBC driver manager
(C:\WINNT\System32\odbc32.dll).

You need to reinstall the ODBC components to insure
proper operation.

Unfortunately, it does not say how to do this and I have been unable to find anything in the docs.

I tried this solution but it resulted in the identical error message. I did not actually select any of the specific driver options because the pop-up boxes were confusing and even the help files didn't help much. Is it possible there is a driver that is original to NT 4.0 WS that needs to be replaced? If so, what is the process to do that?

I have no idea what odbcint.dll and odbc32.dll are.

Are you use localized version of Windows NT?
You can also install last version of ODBC drivers engine by installing service pack 3 for NT.

Re: SP 3, I have been avoiding installing any of these because of reported problems. I currently have SP 1, which was installed when I got the computer. My sense is that there are other alternatives I can pursue vefore SP 3.

I discovered setup in msdev\redist will allow you to remove ODBC. I did that and the problem went away. I don't need them right now and I can install them later, thanks to you telling me where to find them.
