Is it possible to create an OCX control which will use a dialog template to render itself. If yes, is it possible for an OCX control to contain another OCX control

Yes. its possible. To create OCX containing other OCX yu need to make OCX as "SimpleFrame" and call AfxEnableControlContainer in InitInstance of OCX module
