ProcessBar showing LoadFromFile

I load a file into a TRichEdit and since the file is big I would like to show to the end-user how long we are in the loading.
Can you make a ProcessBar process according to some functionality made by others eg. LoadFromFile?

I don't think so.  I haven't checked for sure, but I'll bet that LoadFromFile uses a TStream (FileStream) internally, and the load occurs in one big chunk.   I doubt that it's worth it to find some method to override in order to break it into smaller chunks just to meter it (and subsequently slow down the load).

I have a solution in the form of D2.0 source codes of how to create a descending class of TCustomMemo, behaves exactly like a TMemo but sends progressevents to the owner.
