Finding where a prog is installed

How can I tell where Netscape and IE are installed? I know this info is in the registry, but on my machine for example, netscape and IE show up in various places. Is there any rhyme or reason to how this is placed in the registry, and how do I do a simple read of this info using Delphi 3?

Usually the NetScape Installation directory is placed in the Registry file in this path:
Software\Netscape\Netscape Navigator\Main
with the value string of 'Install Directory'.
to retreive the directory were the netscape program is located write:

uses registry;
.
.
procedure .....
var FDir: String;
begin
  with TRegistry.Create do
  begin
    OpenKey('Software\Netscape\Netscape Navigator\Main', True);
    FDir := ReadString('Install Directory');
    CloseKey;
    Free;
  end;
//do something with FDir
.
.
end;
