purchase vb 40 professional upgrade

i want to upgrade from vb 3 to vb4 professional edition, need to use with windows 3.1 apps.
 do you know of any sources where i can purchase vb4? i am not having any luck in finding it.

try surplus direct, at www.surplusdirect.com.  I've seen them advertise it also in their catalog.  ALso, they have a student version at lower cost, so if you register somewhere, that'll be good enough to get you the discount.  Let me tell you though, that if you're making 16 bit apps, stick with 3.0 rather than using the 16bit version of 4.0.  You'll get smaller, faster programs with the 30 version of VB.  Its better for 16bit than the basically 32bit 4.0 version.
