DECpc 433 workstation

Have DEC mod PCW11-A2 computer (433Workstation) with  DEC  PCHBV-BC monitor. All looks good in DOS but Windows comes up with the "window" in the center of the screen.  Have tried normal VGA & VGA (3,0 ..) drivers.    No doc for monitor switch on back of computer. Using position #7.

DEC -Tec tried, but could not help.  Can you?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I assume, that the Window is not just minimized, I guess you know what to do then ;-)

Have you had a look all around you monitor to find some block of control-swithes with wich you can adjust horizontal width of picture, vertical width, v-position an h-position.

Describe the Buttons you have on your monitor, and how you chose position #7, that was in the On Screen Display, was it?

If you give these information to me (in a comment to this answer, I will guide you through your menu

The monitor is the DEC # I gave and it works fine on this computer.  I can see that its DP-15 male has been repared by a quality technician.

I contacted DEC last week, but they said that they do not support the 433 workstation.

Things get wierder..  My monitor shows lack of h-sync on that computer in ALL the rotary switch positions.  (rotary sw on rear to right of mon connector)  As I said, the DEC monitor works ok on my 686
