We have just bought a new file server to replace the old 486dx2. The new spec is a P200 scsi drive 2gig,64mb of ram,cd-rom,3com network card. The problem is when I try to install the netware from scratch I have a big Problem.
I get to the naming the file server ok but when it asks me for any special set commands for the startup.ncf file and I say no,it then asks me if I want server.exe adding to my autoexec.bat file,I answer Yes then the system stops installing and informs me that I have insufficient memory and that it requires at least 3mb to run netware 386.I think there must be set commands put in the startup.ncf but the exact wording seems to have lost me. The hard disc is correctly partitioned, dos has 25mb leaving 1.8gig free.As I say this new computer has 64MB of ram instead of the old servers' 16MB.
Please help I'm trying to impress my boss.

First, make your dos partition about 30MB. Make sure you are not using himem.sys and emm386.exe in you config.sys file. I don't remember having to put any special set commands in the startup.ncf during an install, just the scsi driver load statements.
