Is there a way of disabling or chaning the filter on the file upload input on an html form?

sorry, no. <INPUT TYPE=FILE> knows no attribute for that (and, BTW, is supported by Netscape Navigator only).

Fortunately, I am in the covetted position to be able to ignore other browsers and say that it is OK that it only works for NS.
