How do you change the default editor in hpvue/xterm?

How do I change my hpvue configuration so that when I click on the "editor" icon at the bottom -it will give me a editor of my own choosing? (instead of hpterm and vi)

see EDITOR and TERM setting in your $HOME/.vueprofile.
