Is it possible to configure a SparcStation 20 with 2 network to the IPX
protocol?? (Solaris 2.4)

Station already have TCP protocol loaded and working. Can I configured 2nd
port to IPX?

If so how, and who do I need to be logged in as.

Thanks

Oscar

PS

NIS+ does not appear to be working correctly.  I cannot even figure out how
to start it, so I'm using /etc files to run the network.

You need a third party product, Solaris does not support IPX out of the box.

Check this products:
- SunPC from SunSoft
- SoftNet Client from Puzzle Systems Corporation
-PPS-1.0-P1 Connectivity Products: PC Integration SolarNet PC
Protocol Services 1.0

Check this url:

For NIS+ you need to read about it, it is far too long and complicated to give you advice here, In principle if you didn't do anything to configure it then it is not working.
