Why does Delphi 3 take so long to Open Oracle Tables (approx 4 secs each) and how do you make it faster??

do you use personal oracle, or on a remote server using sql-net
and then do you use odbc or another component. ?

i know there's a setting in some ini wich i will look up for you.
