Hello,
I am trying to network a printer between several pcs and a laser printer that is connected to a sparc 20. The several pcs are kept in room A and the sparc(to which the laser printer is connected) is in room B.
Is it possible that when I print a document from one of the pcs in room A, the output should come out on the laser printer(connected to the sparc)in room B ?? The sparc in Room B and all pcs in Room A, have their own ip addresses. Is it possible to do this? I would really appreciate it if someone would give me some information on how to go about this.
Please reply to jmahtani@hotmail.com.
Thanks in advance.

Please note : I am the administrator of the sparc and hence have all privileges to make changes on the sparc, in order to accomplish this task.
Waiting for a response.

Assuming your pcs are running Windows x.x, I suggest using samba on your SPARC.

samba may be found at:
ftp.seas.gwu.edu/pub/slak/source/contrib/samba/samba-1.9.17p2.tar.gz
homer.cc.utexas.edu/source/.snapshot/hourly.0/networking/services/samba-1.9.17p2/samba-1.9.17p2.tar.gz

I've no SPARC here, but we can try.

I think it's all straight forward.
