When I write data to a textfield I keep getting the
following warning (JDK1.0). Any ideas what the problem
is or how I can eliminate it.....

NB - the data Im writing does not contain an apostrophe
which seems to be the item its complaining about.

Warning:
    Name: textfield
    Class: XmTextField
    Character '
', not supported in font.  Discarded.

Actually, it appears that you are trying to write a newline to the text field (the character between the single quotes). Make sure you have not included the character '\n' in your string.
