I would like to be able to cut/copy  data in a DBGrid, and then paste the data into another DBGrid.

This may sound over simple but Have you tried using the right mouse button - it normally gives you built in options for the Cell.  If you want to cut and paste a row then you can use a double-click event and code to get the row from table A and then put the row in table B using Insert?
