I would like to retrieve some documents from web. But I'm not familiar with HTTP programming. Is there any HTTP library for Visual C++? If yes, where can I obtain it?

There are activex controls around that you can use.  But actually HTTP is a very simple protocol.  If you know how to program winsock, you really don't need anything else.  For example, if you want to get the page at http://www.microsoft.com/path/1.html, you simply need to connect to www.microsoft.com at port 80 at send this string: "GET /path/1.html HTTP/1.0\r\n\r\n", then you only need to wait for the response.  With simple error checking that is only 20-30 lines of code.
