HELP ! Component not correctly registerd...

Hello !

I Have done a installation program in VB5 but when i try to run it from the maching my errorhandeler get me the following message:
Component 'SHDOCVW.DLL' not correctly registerd: file is missing or invalide.

I think that the file have something to do with Explorer or ..!?
I have try to run regsvr32.exe /SHDOCVW.DLL but this generate an error to.
When i did run the VB5 Installation Wizard it ask me for KERNEL i don´t know why.
But when i did run the installation program i did not get any error messages.

PLS Help me, i don´t have any use for the program on my machine only.

I tryed to install Explorer 3.0 on the machine and now i get the same error message but now it´s abote 'CRYSTL32.TLB'.

WHY can´t VB5 Wizard find out witch files who need to be installed and register them ????????

Is there any other product who can do this, its always this problems when making a installation....
Or how to solve this #@????

PLS Help me...

The installation is now OK but...
 
Component 'SHDOCVW.DLL'  have someting to do with the 'Microsoft internet control', the browser. And i dont like my cousomer to Install Explorer to make my exe to work if they don´t like to use this functins with internet. So why can´t i get my program to work withoute installing Exploler. Witch files do my wizard forgett to deliver with the installation program ?

Shdocvw.dll requires Microsoft Internet Explorer to be installed for it to function correctly. So, if you want to use shdocvw, you also need to install Internet Explorer.

Thanks !

But it had to be a way to get around this problem. I have remove the C:\Program\Microsoft Internet\ and my program is still running. The browser in my program is just a littel part of it. And if the user don´t want to use this part I don´t like to force him to install  IE 3.0. I mean if i just know what files I need to have on my machine and how to register them it would be mutch mutch better.

I have now first install my exe on a clean machine, get the error about shdocvw.dll. Then I install IE 3.0 and my program runs fine. After this i uninstall IE 3.0. And now my program still work perfect, except the browser but thats OK...

Try adding the file shlwapi.dll to your installation package. I am not sure if it's on a clean installation.

Yes  !

I have now solve the problem:

The problem was that I in my mainMDI-window did have put dummy controls to make them load direct.  When i did remove the Browser-dummy from that window it was no problem with my other functions in my application. The error now just com when I try to load my browser window, but thats OK...
