Hi!

I have some problem configurating samba.
I like my server bee find in the "Network Neiberhood" on win NT/ 95 machines.
I have tried my self but I get some confusing messages:
Added interface ip=130.236.232.201 bcast=130.236.232.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Server time is Mon Oct 27 20:37:39 1997
Timezone is UTC+1.0
Domain=[SUBNET] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 1.9.17p2]
SMBtconX failed. ERRSRV - ERRbadpw (Bad password - name/password pair in a Tree Connect or Session Setup are invalid.)
Perhaps you are using the wrong sharename, username or password?
Some servers insist that these be in uppercase

What is wrong. I have security = share set.
(You can se my existing smb.conf on :
http://a201.ryd.student.liu.se/~pucko/smb.conf

I also like the name on my machine set to Ben_Dover.
my primary winsserver is 130.236.230.9 and I like the /home/samba to be accessable by everyone on the network.

Add in your smb.conf file:
workgroup= YOURWORKGROUP
remote announce = networknumber/YOURWORKGROUP
Also under [global] add:
browseable = yes
and under them shares you want to be found when you browse the machine add: browseable = yes
