Gauge control in VB 5.0

Where can I find gauge control, especialy needle style, in Visual-Basic 5.0? According to Microsoft the ProgressBar control should replace the old gauge, but I couldn't find out how to integrate a picture with it, and how to implement  a needle style gauge (for example for a clock). I found gauge32.ocx file in my installation CD, but any attempt to use the control supplied in this file is canceled (saying I'm not a registered ActiveX user??). What should I do? Is there a problem with my installation?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I don't want to needle you about this one (pun intended\!/), but the progress meter is will not do needle guages.  You can dress it up with graphics, but it's still a bar.  Your install is not bad, install just uses controls that you don't have registered.  You need to go to a third party guage control to get the features you're looking for.  Just pull out your VBxtras catalogue.  Sheridan has guages.  There are also some interesting guages in the Rockwell RSTools set.

P.S. Sorry, but I got called away to a meeting before I was finished.  You should still have the guage control in VB5.  We have it here, but we also had VB4 before.  The guage control does provide a needle guage, and GAUGE32.OCX is what we have here from VB4.
