A friend has a gateway laptop (solo 2200) and wants to add on a monitor and keyboard.  I have not seen the laptop, and have very little experience with laptops, so I need to know what kind of monitors and keyboards will work.  I assume any monitor will plug into the back of a laptop, correct?  What I am unsure of, though, is the type of keyboard connection.  Does a gateway 2000 solo 2200 have a keyboard connector at all, and if it does is it the large circular ones or the smaller one?  (BTW, what are the technical names for the keyboard adapters, for the big and small one?)  Thanks!

the small kexboard-adaptor is called PS/2-adaptor and this is the usual form on Notebooks, youll find one of these on the solo. To be sure, you can visit www.gateway2000.com.

Yes, any kind of monitor adapts into the D-SUB-socket on the back of the notebook, but it is not always possible to have the notebooks display and the monitor running at the same time (see gateway solo documentation for details)

regards

PS: I will go and visit gateway for you now see ya!
