Does anybody have some sample how to use Delphi with Autocad.

I want to use Delphi as an Database to give information to Autocad, so it will put the text in Autocad.

Were can I find some sourcecodes for this, and other sources   to use Delphi with Autocad.

Thanks,

1. Check if Acad have dde (manual of Acad), and how can you use this.
2. Find Examples (in Delphi) for using DDE

Cyberchild,

In addition to checking to see if AutoCad supports DDE, you may also want to check to see if it support OLE as well. For even more fun, contact AutoDesk to determine the file layouts for autocad files and determine what the layout is, or better yet, if there is some sort of ODBC driver or somesuch you can use to access the files.

As a "last" (but sometimes useful) resort, assuming Acad is totally uncooperative (no DDE, no OLE and not file format available) you can always resort to sending Acad windows messages (WM_Click, etc) to correspond to the normal actions you would take while in the application, except that your Delphi program would be sending the "keystrokes" and "mouseclicks".

Good luck with your project!

Ask the Experts
I found so Acad have Lisp in which you can use dll's. Write your own dll and try using this in lisp.
