CListBox hidden while I SendMessage

I have a CListBox object on a Dialog. In my number crunching
"C" code I use the Windows API SendMessage to the HWND. This
works EXCEPT the listbox goes into some hidden mode where
all I can see is the scrollbar on the right. The size of
the scrollbar shrinks as expected as I send SendMessage.
What do I need to do to see the information as I write it
with the SendMessage?? Also the data seems to come in
packets. Is there some sort of flush that I can do to
see the data as I write it to the list box??

Thanks!

You can use UpdateWindow on the listbox's HWND to get it to paint while you're adding stuff to it.
