Unix communications program

I need a unix comm prog to allow a user to send text files to a remote windows bbs. I've heard of Blast, but don't have a source. The question is:
1.  Provide a source for Blast.
2. Recommend another prog and source(not kermit).

Blast can be found at http://www.blast.com - I tried using this program a few years back and had many problems with it on Unix. But I would assume that it's a much better product now.

Kermit is often recommended because it's free (Blast is at least $500 on Unix).

My last name does NOT have an 'r' in it. And I recomment you use a search engine to find what you are looking for. ;-)

The original question was in 2 parts. Part 2 excluded kermit as a possible answer. I knew about Blast,but did not know the cost was so high, so your answer was worth the 50 pts. but not worth a higher grade due to part 2. Thanks for responding.
