What is the best way to perform a batch task in Delphi?
Let's say I have a DBFile in which I want to update all records matching a certain equation. (Salary between 10.000 and 20.000 or something like that)

if you have Paradox, you can use the QBE to generate the "Changeto" query.  Pdox also lets you see the SQL if you want to cut-paste it directly into Delphi.

If you are just using delphi, then you will be performing an UPDATE query.  Without the DB layout or fields you want to change, it will be difficult to say just how to do it.  In any event, it sounds like the way to do it in Delphi would be to put a SQL component on the form where you need the action to be performed.  Or, you could place it on your DataModel, if you set one up for the project.
