An unimplemented trap error is caused by a program trying to call non-existant code (usually from the OS). Roughly translated - it's a programmer error. Since the VDO player did not exist when the MacOS 7.1.2 was created, it must fall on the creators of Netscape or the VDO player (or a million combinations of inits/cdevs).

Recommendation:
Upgrade to MacOS 7.5.5, OT 1.1.2, QT 2.5
