Its not a problem with your web browser.  Your web broweser works fine.  If you can visit one site on the internet you should be able to get to them all.  Sometimes Websites go down (No one can access them), or are taken down for many different reasons.  when I checked www.exites.com was down and zdnet is up.  There are many things that can happen on the internet not involving your computer that can make a website go down.  Watch  your spelling and lookout for typos.

What about other users of your
ISP? If they have the same problem
then maybe the problem is in ISP.

Sometimes such situation happens when ISP
uses proxy servers for all http requests and this
proxy configured unproperly.
(And even if you put "No proxy" in your configuration
still your request will go through ISP's proxy).

I had the same problem a while back -- now i had to set proxy to 'manual proxy' to some socks server. You should email your service provider & find out if you need to proxy.

So far nobody has been able to tell me why only Netscape32bit is affected ; i still surf with Netscape16 BUT i don't need to proxy. If i use netscape32 & i don't proxy - i can never get to some sites like www.netscape.com bit can surf to www.novell.com.

Trying to Ping the site or do a tracert. To do this you go to dos and type ping www.somewhere.com and it will tell you if the site is acceptable. Or type tracert www.somewhere.com and see if the route to the server is down. Hope this helps.
