Is there any libraries or utilities that are available, to enable me to communicate over a modem.  Ideally I need it for delphi 1 but if you know where I can get stuff for delphi 2 or 3 to do the same job that will have to do

Thanks Marvin

Sure,
Look at the Torry pages or Delphi Super Pages. There are enough components which allow you to communicate over a modem.
Have fun,
