w95 -> linux PPP login

I set up Linux as PPP dial in server, and use Win95 as clients. It worked, but the problem is:
  I had to type in the user name and password manually
in a terminal window. (just as said in Linux Secrets p.553).
  I tried to login from another Linux PC by using ppp-on script, it works well.
  I believe the problem is in Windows 95.
  Any answer/suggestion are welcomed.

If you not are using chap/pap to authenticate you need to script the Windows 95 login (just as the otehr Linux boxes were scripted). The scripttool for Win 95 is part of the plus!package.

If you are using pap/chap, you  may need to script the login cuz you need to someway reach pppd on the linux box.

So, here is my tip:

Dial in as you have done earlier with the Win 95 client.
Give me a log or description what happened in the terminal window, and I write a Win 95 script for you to use with plus!package.

Also, can you tell me if you use PAP/CHAP?

Mail the above to df@darkface.pp.se

Thanks very much. Yes, I need to know where I can read/modify
the login script. Win95 seems a black box to me. I will send
some files to df@darkface.pp.se.
