I keep getting Apple CD-Rom not responding.  It's installed and we haven't added any applications or changed our configurations or anything.  The Sound In-Put is on Internal CD.  It is an internal CD-Rom for a Performa 6320CD.

Try to insert a system CD and the reboot and press key 'C' during system startup. It should then boot from the CD. If it works you have a system software problem. If not it rather looks like a hardware problem. I would next check cable connections.

Good luck,

Peter

Make sure that the Apple CD-ROM extension is in your extensions folder.  Also any "file access" extensions, ex:  High Sierra File Access.  This should work.  If it is missing you can get it from apples ftp sites.
