Looking for an MFC MIDI playback class.  I am currently using the MCI commands but some files do not play correctly.  Are there any "advanced" settings which are required when playing MIDI files?

There is no NFC support for playing MIDI file, you must use the MMSYSTEM API calls, as described on docs. If you play with MCI, you cannot interact with the MIDI device at low level. A good reference and sample programs can be found on John Glatt's web page: http://www.borg.com/~jglatt
