When I edit an HTML document in any application and try to open it from Netscape using the "Open File" command, Netscape crashes and gives me this error: "Unimplemented trap executed, CP Protocol Violation".  Is this a netscape bug or what?

It is entirely possible that it is a Netscape bug.  Suggest that you check by making a very simple edit (change a word of text) to see if the error still occurs even if you have not violated an HTML rule (which is easy to do).

Also, suggest that you upload the new 4.0 version of Navigator or Communicator.  They fixed a number of bugs and the newer versions would be a lot better way to test the viability of the edits you are making to the HTML.

Good luck.  Let us know if you are still having problems.
