I installed communicator 4.04. It fails to sun with Invalid Page Fault in Kernel32.dll. After this, Netscape Nav 3.0 crashes with same answer. Reinstalling both products does not solve problem. Deleting bookmark.htm file corrects problem but I lose bookmarks with this solution. Any solutions that preserve bookmark file? (my bookmark file is 108 KB)

Unfortunately, we are running into the same problem.  It looks to me that the way Netscape 4.04 is handling the bookmark is becoming a nightmare. You are aslo right in saying that you when deleting the bookmark.htm it works.

I got around this by doing the following:

1) Make a copy of your bookmark.htm just in case.
2) Open your bookmark.htm with WordPad
3) Remove all the stange character but leave the lines <a href="    ...etc..) from all the entries
4) Save the file as TEXT e.g.: "Recover.txt"
5) In windows explorer rename the file as recover.htm instead of    the TXT extention
6) Go on line and open that file.
7) All your entries will be a HYPERLINK
8) Click on each and when there, start bookmarking them

I know it is a hassle, but at least you'll not LOOSE one bookmark
If you find this solution unacceptable. please reject it.
