I have very few questions, but this one fogs me. How do you alter the cable ending (The end that hooks in the C-650 video port) so that the C-650 will recognize the Supermatch 17. I know that you can connect two of the pins in the cable end with a wire connector, but which two pins? I also know that there's a cable that is available, or was available that has this change.

While I don't doubt that shorting two pins in the cable might help out, I would recommend using one of those multi-resolution switch boxes which fits between the monitor port on the C650 and the cable coming from the SuperMatch.  I have one on my SuperMatch 20 Plus at work connected to a PMac 8500 and it does fine.  These little boxes are available mail-order from the back of Mac magazines, or you might get lucky and find one in well-stocked Mac-friendly store (if there is such a thing!)

If you want the do it yourself solution, I can offer the following.  NOTE:  If your monitor blows up, you did it, not me.  Mac video HW syncs on green and I'm guessing the SuperMatch does not.  You need to find which pin on the video cable carries the green signal and wire that one to the one carrying the sync signal.  Consult the manual for the monitor (or scour the internet) for this info.
