Sidewinder Pro in F22 ADF

Why does Bill's configuration for the Microsoft Sidewinder Pro not work with F22? It worked fine with SEF2000 and I have programmed it all in the same way, but none of the programmed buttons work!!!

I think this is connected to DirectX 5 problem with joystick. Try
the following: enter to \Windows\System folder, find file VJOYD.VXD,
copy it to some other, say, VJOYD.VX. Then copy over same file
from DirectX 3.
PS: Maybe you need to do the same with file JOY.CPL.
