I'm using a CTreeCtrl which displays a tooltip when the text of an item is too long to be displayed in the window.  The problem is that the tooltip will only display the first 77 (I might have counted wrong...) characters of the item, even though the actual text of the item may be longer.  Is there a way to make the tip always display the entire content of the item?

Hi nbushman:

FIRST THE BAD NEWS
The CToolTipCtrl only support up to 80 characters.

NOW THE GOOD NEWS
Microsoft soon plans to release IE 4.0 which will support
tooltips with exciting new features including:
- more than 80 characters
- multiline tooltips
- colored text in tooltips

AND if you want it now not then, try an email to
Simon Wilson <simon@TECHSOFT.DEMON.CO.UK> (that is no me!)
He has written a class that operates similarily to tooltips
which does not have the 80 character limitation.
I am pretty sure if you ask him real nicely,
he will email you his source code, too help you out.

I believe when you install IE 3.0 or later, that tooltip is available automagically!
