I by mistake erased my bookmarks on Netscape Communicator 4 from reinstalling it. I saved the Bookmarks on a disk from the Default folder from the "Essential Files" folder in Netscape. When I reloaded them:
(1) they are not shown in the toolbar but hotlinked on the page and..
(2) none of the "My Stuff" bookmarks are included which means I have lost these Bookmarks.

How did this happen, how can I save ALL my bookmarks and how can I reload them back to in the toolbar?

Here's your solution:

Under the window menu, select Bookmarks.
A window will pop up.
Under the file menu, select Import.
Import the your bookmarks file in this way.

To save a backup of your bookmarks, select your bookmarks in the bookmark window, and under the file menu select Save As...
A window will pop up asking you where you wish to save your bookmarks file.

I hope this answers your questions.

I am sorry I forgot to mention that I am using a Black Macintosh Performa Power PC 5400/180, Director's Edition.

I think your answer is for an IBM.

I cannot grade you on this because I do not know about the IBM format.
