how would one align a new opening window to the screen? i need examples

You have no control over where the window is displayed until you get to Netscape 4.x and MSIE 4.x.

To move the window to an absolute position you use yourWindowName.moveTo(x,y).  This will move the top left corner to the x,y coordinate.

It is also possible to move the window relative to it's current location with the yourWindow.Name.moveBy(x,y), where x is the number of pixels that the window will move horizontally, and y is the number of pixels that the window will move vertically.
