I try have to build a local tool to print HTML files in C++ Builder which uses the same ISP html borwser as Delphi (I meet the same difficulty under Delphi 2). Doc says it can call files and http URL. But I cannot get rid of the 'http://' which is added to my entry. I have just 75 points left but I think the response is worth at least 150/200 that I will credit to who may save me as soon I reach them.

If I understood the question You must use:

         HTML1.RequestDoc('file://localhost/C|/yourpath/yourfile.htm');

or simply

HTML1.RequestDoc('file:///C|/yourpath/yourfile.htm');

Itamar,
Yes: my need is to enter a file name as \dir\file.ext as an alternative to the internet entry which is www.domain.com so to know and where to modify/write the container program (so I also understand how to program the display of a given file). Thx for your help. I will go up to 200 : so I will not rate the answer before I get them. Sorry for that delay: I had plenty of points on another account, but I forgot the password (we have so many of them).
