Confusion about Microsoft product

I have installed Internet Information Server from the NT CD. After, I have download the NT oprion pack which is supposed to contain IIS 4.0. When I have installed the product, I choose the upgrade option. The installation is ok. But when I restart my computer to look at what's new, I saw a little icon on the taskbar (Personal web server). It have a diffent interface than IIS 4.0 with the management console. I stop the Personal Web Server service with stop in the menu. And my web server do not work anymore. What is this (Edited by Computer101). It is really confusing. Can I have only IIS 4.0 with the Management Console only without this assle Personal Web Server installed.

I am really confused.

The NT Server's official service pack is SP3 which contains IIS 3.0. Even so, you should *update* your system, not to upgrade.

Please try to uninstall all the IIS and PWS, then install SP3, IIS4.0 with custom setup.
