"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Perhaps you should provide us a bit more information on the situation.
Can't you just set up 2 database aliases pointing to the 2 servers and setting the TDatabase.DatabaseName property within your application?

My question again was,

Not how to set up and ALIAS, it was how to set the SERVER property..  The application is very large and has tons of references to that alias.  We have three development servers, and  I want to write an applet that will just write that one property in the .CFG file and save it..

Thanks
