Max length for Input field?

Hi!  I'm wondering if there's a max for the input field length in a form.  If users have to login to a page, can
the passwords be longer than 35 characters?

Thanks!

There isn't specifically a limit but there are problem with some browsers and some cgi servers as to what they can handle.  But on a side note, how you must hate your users if you are going to subject them to a 35 character password!!!  By the way, I think the first place you will likely have trouble with field length is around 256 characters for a server running on a MSDOS platform.
