With the VCSpeller OCX that comes with Delphi 2 & 3,
do you know if there is a boolean function like "DoesWordExist" or something?
I want to pass it a word like 'hello', and get true or false back without the dialog being shown.

Setting AutoPopUp to False, and the dialog is not displayed.
If v1 is your spelling-component then use something like:

v1.AutoPopUp := False;
V1.AutoReplace := False;
v1.checkWord:='hello';
rc := v1.ResultCode;      (will be 0 if found)

Greetings,
