I'm needing for a DBGrid to work like an Excel grid. As in coping a cells data to multiple cells in a single column.
My App would have the user to input the same value in multiple cells in a column. Can this be done using DBGrid?
or would i have to purchase a 3rd party DBGrid component (if there is one)?

Spread by FarPoint acts just like Excel, and I would recommend it if you need it, or I would just OLE excel and use excel for the input

You can also try to XGrid from Green Tree: www.green-tree.com. XGrid is fast and has a small foot print.
