Please,
where can I find cuteftp for linux or another ftp that tries to connect to a ftp server several times?

CuteFTP I haven't seen around, but NCFTP has an option to automatically reconnect.  Packages for Debian installs are available in the ftp.debian.org "non-free" area (you won't have to pay for it, no worries), and Redhat also maintains packages.  A search on the web should turn up source code somewhere, since it's a fairly common package.
