Hi,
Does somebody knows a way or site where I can
get a source or information about loading/playing
xm-files (fasttracker) in pascal ???

hi!

there is a way to play XM - Modules in pascal. But note, there are no routines for real mode ! (Only GUS) All other (for SB etc.) are for protected mode only. If you are working in real mode i would recommend to play MOD or S3M - Files. Go to http://www.hornet.org - there is all you need to program sound :)
There are much players one of the best is the Midas - Sound System. v0.40 is for MOD/S3M and v0.60+ supports XM too

My soundcard is a soundblaster, no GUS...
Does somebody knows a program to covert a XM file into a S3m file

u cannot convert XM to S3M i think. Because XM have 32 chanels S3M only 16 maximum. Maybe there is a way. Convert it first to wave and then to S3M. I know MOD4WIN can do that. But i dont know of a program to convert WAV to S3M. But i'll look around for ya...
