Hi guys,

I am writing a specialized FTP client using the FTP component which Delphi 3 offers.
The problem is: How can I run my program on any other computer than mine? There seems to be an OCX missing on any system except mine (FTPCT.OCX). How do I have to ship this OCX, what must I do to install this OCX on any other machine?

Hmm sounds quite wired. I hope anyone understands what I mean...

Right, the OCX is missing. Copy the OCX into the target machines SYSTEM directory, then run "regsvr32 ftpct.ocx" in a command prompt or "regsvr32 ftpct.ocx /s" (does not display the confirmation dialog) from your installation script.
I recommend to use one of the plenty freeware FTP native components on the DSP.

DSP are the Delphi Super Pages. Their main page is
Regsvr32 is included in some program installations and in the resource kit. You can also register the OCX with
rundll32 ftpct.ocx DllRegisterServer (on NT)
rundll ftpct.ocx DllRegisterServer (on Win95)

Sorry for the last cryptic answer.
