missing semicolon error message

How do I go about avoiding getting the error message "missing semicolon before statement". I get it when I use NN3 and I'm trying to call a function in another frame.
For example, I call this function from frame "B" to fire a function in frame "A" onLoad="javascript:parent.A.functioName('B1',1)">
but I get the: missing semicolon before statement
javascript:parent.A.functionName('B1',1)
Once again everything works in NN4.

Drop the javascript:.  Your onLoad event should be onLoad="parent.A.functionName('B1',1)
